"The Idea behind the Elk River Sessions is simple: Gather some local musicians out in the woods to make some new music, and use the music to help out a friend in need.

In late August 2017, twenty hand-picked Denton musicians - some veteran, others less established, most having never played together before - road-tripped to an isolated cabin in the deep Ozarks to write and record an album over the course of three days.

Upon arriving, the artists were randomly slotted into three bands - River, Mountain, and Eagle. They cracked a few beers, flipped a couple of canoes, and got to work.

All profits from the Elk River Sessions go toward the medical bills of Traci Batson (who joined the Ozark caravan and provided vocals for Mountain) as she fights Multiple Sclerosis."
